En los festivales y cuando me han dado algún premio me han pedido que explique algo más del argumento y del final de la película.

La trama real de la película es que todo lo que aparece en la película es irreal producido por Daven tras matar a su mujer Karen. Las únicas partes reales son:
Daven con Karen en su casa
Daven con Karen en el coche
El final cuando Daven tiene a su mujer muerta en la casa y cuando se despierta en el bosque recordando lo sucedido.

Los enemigos(los Iluminados), Karena (la culpa), la violación de Karen etc.., es creado por el cerebro de Daven para no recordar, para olvidar que el mismo la ha matado.

Cuando el finalmente vence a la representación de su padre (Joseph) y a los Iluminados que representan la religion, el sexo y la violencia, es cuando por fin recuerda que el ha matado a su mujer y es cuando se despierta al final de la película en el bosque.

Do not continue if you do not want the plot of the movie to be revealed.
In the festivals and when they have given me some prize I have been asked to explain something more about the plot and the end of the film.

The real plot of the film is that everything that appears in the film is unreal produced by Daven after killing his wife Karen. The only real parts are:
Daven with Karen at home
Daven with Karen in the car
The end when Daven has his wife dead in the house and when he wakes up in the forest remembering what happened.

The enemies (the illuminati), Karena (the guilt), the rape of Karen etc., are created by Daven's brain to not remember, to forget that he himself has killed her.

When he finally expire to the representation of his father (Joseph) and the Illuminati who represent religion, sex and violence, he finally remember that he has killed his wife and that is when he wakes up at the end of the film in the forest.

SYNOPSIS

Daven y Karen se detienen a descansar en un bonito paraje tras un lugar viaje. Durante su descanso, son atacados por un grupo de psicópatas que se hacen llamar los Iluminados. En el ataque Karen sufre la violación por cada uno de ellos acabando finalmente muerta, mientras que a Daven le propinan una paliza. Tras el traumático suceso, la percepción del mundo de Daven se desestructura, confundiendo la realidad con otra muy distinta creada por su cerebro. En este viaje por su mente luchará contra el súper-yo y todos sus miedos guiado por Karena, el alter ego de su mujer muerta, quien intentará llevarlo por el camino de la cordura.

Daven and Karen stop to rest in a beautiful spot after a long journey. During their break, they are attacked by a group of psychopaths who are called the Illuminati. In this attack, Karen gets raped by each one of them and ends up dying, while Daven gets beaten up. After such a traumatic incident, Daven’s perception of the world collapses, confusing reality with a new reality created by his own mind. During this mind-trip, he will fight against the superego and all his fears guided by Karena, his dead wife’s alter ego, who will try to lead him through the path of sanity
